Wilder ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Wilder iOS app and wildernyc.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Account information. When you sign in, we collect your email address. You may also choose a display name, which is visible to other users when you post or join a run.
Activity data. When you use the app, we store:
- ✦ Route ratings you submit — thumbs up/down, time of day, and any optional note you add
- ✦ Runs you post — route, date and time, optional meeting point and note, and the approximate coordinates of the route start
- ✦ Routes you create — name, drawn path coordinates, and any safety or description data you add
- ✦ Runs you join
Location. Your device location is used on-device only to sort and filter routes and runs near you. It is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Route coordinates stored server-side are derived from the routes themselves — not your real-time position.
We use your information solely to operate the app — to show community ratings, display runs you've posted or joined, and connect you with other runners in NYC.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described below.
Your data is stored in Supabase, a third-party cloud database provider. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy and security commitments.
We do not use analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs in the app.
You can delete your account by contacting us at hello@wildernyc.com. We will delete your account data within 30 days of your request.
Run posts and ratings you've submitted may be anonymized rather than deleted if they contribute to aggregate community data that other users rely on.
Sign-in is handled via magic link — passwordless email — so we never store a password. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Data at rest is encrypted by our cloud provider.
Wilder is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
